Product Review: Inglot YSM Cream Foundation

I promised a good friend of mine this review....
This is for you my dear... =)

I received some sample from Inglot during my recent visit to their brand new store in Malaysia, which is in Sunway Pyramid. I was ecstatic during my trip there, even if it was my 3rd visit by then. Still, there's nothing better than a posh, elegantly decorated beauty boutique that offers you a gazillion vibrant, wonderful colors to decorate your face.

Even describing it gives me the jitters.
I'm proud to be an addict. A makeup addict that is ^__^

I took a few pictures of their boutique.

[to be uploaded soon]

Since the interior was mainly made of squeaky-shiny-black top, every now and then, you'll see the MUA frantically wiping these tops so they stay finger-prints free.

I was approached by a friendly MUA, however I must say that since they are in this line and located across the floor to MAC I reckon they should buck up on their product knowledge. Cause really, one should know their product well and their competitor's better, no?

I ended up with a palette (why am I not surprised!) and a couple of vibrant eyeshadows. Which some of it I've used in my previous entry here. :)

I'm really digging the color options and made lotsa mental notes to buy this and that. *Sigh* I heard people raved about their gel liners especially the one in turquoise and I know I had to have it. But, boo-hoo they ran out of it and don't know when they'll re-stock. T__T

As I paid for my goodies, I was given some samples. I read good reviews on their YSM Cream Foundation and requested for some samples. Unfortunately, they only had in in very limited color options so I took it anyway.

The sample I got was slightly darker for my skin tone, but all in the name of beauty loving....I tried it anyway. They didn't had much so I had to use it carefully so I don't waste any drop of the YSM Cream Foundation.

THE VERDICT

You can find more pictures here

The Inglot's YSM Cream Foundation got a 4.0 out of 5.0 at MakeupAlley and I say, that's not bad for a newly popularised cosmetic such as Inglot.

I squeeze a little drop onto my fingers and I know that I don't need a lot to cover my entire face. The texture is pretty thick and rich however, it is easily smeared across your face. Really, you don't need much effort to ensure your face is evenly coated with the YSM foundation.

It provides medium coverage so I'll suggest that you hit you eyebags with a thin layer of concealer before applying this foundation. Honestly, it works OK on me. It managed to cover a few pigmentations of mine, but I can't be sure if it's the coverage or the fact that it is darker than my skin tone. Heh.

My pores became less visible and it gave me a flawless finish. I liikkkeeeee. Since it glides well during application, I wouldn't say that it is drying on my face and neither is it hydrating. My opinion, you shouldn't skip the moituriser. I do notice during midday, I get a little oily on my T-zone. I was expecting that, cause rich-creamy foundation does that to oily skin people like me.

By midday, I had to do a bit of touch up on my T-zone but this is fine with me cause the rest of the area is pretty much the same. It's a good daily foundation for office wear. But if you want a more long lasting foundation, you may want to apply another layer of this foundation.

I was happy that I didn't get any breakouts after 1 week using the YSM Cream Foundation. Then again, you know what they say...breakouts are caused by poor cleansing not because of the product you use. I would like to think otherwise though, cause sometimes there are some active ingredients in a cosmetic that might just trigger my breakouts.

Oh, did I mentioned how affordable these Inglot products were?!! So much cheaper than those at MAC's. That explains why ended up with lotsa goodies and paid more tha half the amount I would be paying if I was at MACs!

The Inglot's YSM Cream Foundation is a steal! For only RM64.00 you'll get a 30ml foundation that will definitely last long due to its rich texture. Boy, was I impressed!

So, would I recommed this?
A definite YES! Unless you're looking for a foundation with better coverage.
If not, YSM Cream Foundation is very much recommended :)

Head on to Sunway Pyramid, (opposite La Senza) and take a trip to Inglot. Don't be afraid to embrace your inner child by adding loads of fun color into your life!!! I know you want it *winks*

Some info on Inglot:
Inglot originated from Poland and has opened 240 retail locations worldwide. You may be surprised to learn that Inglot has been around for 25 years but only recently spurred a worldwide interest. Inglot opened it's first store in Malaysia on 27 May 2011 only at Sunway Pyramid. YSM stands for Young Skin Makeup, self-explanatory right?

Till then, good luck & stay flawless...
