Inspired by Theodora an Empress of Byzantine, a potrait shown to Chanel Global Creative Director of Makeup, Peter Philips, created the Chanel 2011 Paris-Byzance Pre-Fall collection. The potrait was shown to him by Karl Lagerfield.
